I always seem to have more to do then I have time to do it in…either that or I am just terrible at time management. Personally I think it’s a lethal combination of both.
I have a few sewing projects that I want to try to complete before heading down to B’s for the weekend. The projects (a spin-off of these, only I am using colored pencils instead of crayons {less likely to melt in the car} and larger notepads) should sew up really quickly once I have the first one done. The most time consuming part will be cutting the fabric. Hopefully, I can whip them all out tonight. Maybe I’ll move the sewing machine out into the living room for the evening so that I can watch the next DVD of Mad Men and tonight’s One Tree Hill while sewing. At least that way I’ll be able to send back Mad Men before I leave for the weekend and hopefully come back to the next one.
The rest of the week is busy with work and friends…home group on Tuesday and dinner with Amanda and her boys on Wednesday.
And somewhere in the midst of it all I need to find a few minutes to pack. I keep most of the essentials at Bethany’s anyway so I really only need a change or two of clothes, but I also have to find the time to pack up my machine and all its accoutrements as well as the necessary fabric and notions. I think I’ll make a list. I am getting much better at list making.
Only because I am getting much more proficient at forgetting things in my ‘old age’.
Sometime this weekend I am hoping to finish up my parent’s quilt. I am taking it to B’s with me because she has a large table which will make sewing it so much easier then it would at home. Hopefully it won’t take more then a couple of hours to finish it up and I can give it to my parents before the end of January.
Of course as soon as I am finished there I need to start on Chuckie’s blanket for his birthday.
I really think I could sew forever and not finish my wish list of projects I want to sew. Oh well. I really do enjoy it. And I am so glad that I found something I enjoy so much.
